- Serve as adviser and sounding board to Executive Director
- Manage annual and strategic planning process
- Establish and maintain dashboard of strategic KPIs
- Facilitate senior leadership meetings
- Harmonize board meeting materials and agenda
- Design internal communications tools and workflows
- Evaluate organization design and identify alternative structures
- Advise on professional development, wellness, and DEI programs
POLICIES, COMPLIANCE & RISK MANAGEMENT
- Create financial and operations reporting for both board and staff
- Supervise contracting procedures and review all agreements
- Fortify grant and contract compliance procedures
- Identify gaps and inefficiencies in operating policies
- Spearhead technology and data systems projects
- Manage partnership with external auditors, external legal counsel
- Develop risk assessment protocols
- Reassess liability insurance and liaise with brokers
Engagement: 10 to 20 hours per week, contract period of 12 months renewable
Leadership Adviser
- Serve as adviser and sounding board to Executive Director
- Guide senior leadership meeting practices
- Review and consult on board meeting materials and agenda
- Monitor organizational metrics and outcomes
- Clarify decision-making authorities and protocols
- Coordinate legal counsel engagements
- Consult on arising staff relations and talent management matters
- Suggest practices to activate organizational values through work norms
Engagement: 4 to 8 hours per week, contract period of 6 months renewable
Financial Forecaster
- Analyze key drivers for a bespoke financial model to plan and monitor fiscal health:
- Revenue streams diversification
- Restricted grant funding turn-over
- Accounts receivable collections efficiency
- Compensation and benefits trending
- Staff investment aligned with strategy
- Talent development and DEI investment ratios
- Non-personnel cost efficiencies
- Cash flow seasonality patterns
- Other key drivers as may apply
- Support finance, development and HR teams to sustain analyses long-term
- Develop unified financial forecasting model with reports and dashboard
Engagement: assessed on a project by project basis
